Does the tarot you own feel like something you have to be in the mood for?
Alice in Luna's Tarot keeps the Rider-Waite structure and casts it with Lewis Carroll's characters. The Fool sets off down the rabbit hole, the Queen of Hearts holds court in the Minor Arcana. Every traditional meaning is intact — the deck is simply easier to sit down with.
Three reasons readers choose this deck
One story across all 78 cards
The Major and Minor Arcana are drawn as a single Wonderland, so a spread reads as a scene rather than a set of unrelated pictures.
Faithful to Rider-Waite, so every guide still works
The symbolism follows the traditional deck. Any tarot book, course or website you already use applies to this deck directly — nothing to translate or adjust.
Guidebook in English and Japanese
Both languages are printed in the same booklet, so you can read your first spread the day the deck arrives.

If you are starting from zero
Five reasons "tarot looks difficult" does not apply hereRead more
- Any beginner's book worksThe deck follows the Rider-Waite structure, so the guides in your local bookshop apply as they are.
- Meanings come in the boxThe booklet explains every card in English, so nothing has to be memorised first.
- Familiar faces make the symbols stickIt is easier to remember what a card means when you already know the character standing in it.
- Start with a one-card drawNo spread to learn. One card answers the question in front of you.
- It grows with youBecause the structure is traditional, the deck still works once your reading gets more advanced.
The artwork
Every card is a window, and every window opens on Wonderland.
Each card is framed like a stained-glass panel, drawn for this deck by a Japanese illustrator. The palette stays bright without flattening the symbols a reading depends on, and the Minor Arcana is illustrated scene by scene rather than left as plain pips.
— The day this deck was made —
It began with something customers kept telling us.
"I want to read tarot, but the pictures frighten me."
Traditional decks were built to be read, not to be looked at, and some of their images are unsettling on purpose. But a deck that stays in the drawer is a deck that never gets used. Wonderland turned out to be the right answer: a world that is already strange, already full of symbols, and already familiar to almost everyone. Death, the Tower, the Devil — all of them found a character to play them, and none of the meaning was lost in the casting.
From the makers
Alice in Luna's Tarot is a Luna Factory original. We kept the Rider-Waite structure and its symbolism and redrew all 78 cards, so it works as a first deck and keeps working as a long-term one.

Customer Reviews
I love everything "Alice" and couldn't resist ordering these. They took a bit to arrive, which I expected since they were traveling so far, but they were well worth the wait. I have lots of Alice decks and this will be one of my favorites.
