Can a deck this sweet still give a serious reading?
Yes — that is the whole trick of it. Luna's My Melody Tarot is a complete 78-card deck with both Major and Minor Arcana, every card drawn by our designer to fold My Melody's world into the traditional symbolism. The pink is on the surface; the structure underneath is the same one professional readers use.
Three reasons readers choose this deck
Officially licensed Sanrio product
This is a genuine My Melody item, made under license — not a lookalike. For a fan, that difference is the difference.
English translations in the booklet
The detailed guidebook includes English translations, so the deck is fully readable outside Japan from the day it arrives.
A real deck, not a novelty
All 78 cards are present, and the backs are symmetrical so upright and reversed cannot be told apart before the flip — the detail readers check first.

If you are starting from zero
Five reasons "tarot looks difficult" does not apply hereRead more
- The booklet speaks EnglishDetailed explanations with English translations come in the box, so nothing has to be searched for online.
- A familiar face on every cardMeanings stick faster when the figure holding them is a character you have known for years.
- Nothing in the deck is frighteningEven the traditionally harsh cards arrive gently, which makes daily practice easy to keep.
- Start with a one-card drawNo spread to learn. One card answers the question in front of you.
- The full 78 means full readingsBecause the complete Arcana is here, the deck supports authentic readings as your skill grows.
The artwork
My Melody steps into the oldest picture book in fortune telling.
Each card was individually crafted by our designer, weaving My Melody and her friends into the traditional scenes — The Fool, the suits, the court cards — in soft pinks and creams. Rich in detail, the cards reward a second look even after years of readings.
— The day this deck was made —
Some characters simply belong in tarot.
"Gentle on the outside, older than she looks."
My Melody has been carrying small comforts to people since 1975 — which is, if you think about it, most of what an everyday tarot practice does. When the chance came to make an official deck, we set one rule: the charm could not cost the deck its function. So all 78 cards were drawn to hold both things at once, and the backs were made symmetrical so that even a strict reader would find nothing to correct.
