Every card was drawn for this deck by a Japanese illustrator, in a pastel palette that stays soft without losing the symbols a reading depends on. Laid out together, the Major Arcana reads as one continuous world rather than 22 separate pictures.

It began with a question a customer asked us.
"Is there a tarot deck I would not want to hide?"
Traditional decks are built to be read, not to be looked at. Their images carry centuries of meaning, and some of them are frightening on purpose. But a deck that lives in a drawer is a deck that never gets used. We started drawing cats — first as a joke, then seriously — and found that the symbols survived the translation intact. A cat can hold a sword. A cat can fall from a tower. The meaning stays; only the fear leaves.

Dreaming Cat Tarot is a Luna Factory original. We kept the Rider-Waite structure and its symbolism and redrew all 78 cards, so it can be used as a first deck and kept as a long-term one.
