What stopped you the last time you tried tarot?
For most people it is the memorising. The Beginner's Tarot removes it: each card carries its meanings printed at the top and bottom, so anyone can read fortunes just by looking at the card in their hand. Every word on the cards — the meaning, the advice line, and the keywords — is printed in English, on artwork drawn from the beloved Dreaming Cat Tarot.
Three reasons readers choose this deck
The meaning travels on the card
Keywords are printed above and below each image, so a reading never stalls while you hunt through a booklet.
Everything on the card is in English
The meaning, the advice line, and the keyword chips are all printed in English — nothing to translate, nothing to look up. This is the edition made for English readers. (Prefer Japanese text? A Japanese edition is also available.)
Rider-based underneath
The design follows the Rider edition, so what you learn with this deck transfers directly to any traditional one.

The artwork
The Dreaming Cat world, with the training wheels drawn on beautifully.
The cards keep the soft Dreaming Cat illustrations and frame them with printed keywords in a design that stays pretty rather than academic. It is the rare learning deck you would still leave out on the table.
— The day this deck was made —
It began with the voices of customers who almost gave up.
"Tarot looks so difficult. The pictures are scary. I am too shy to use them."
The Beginner Tarot series was born from exactly those words. We took the gentlest artwork we had — the Dreaming Cat world — and printed the meanings right onto the cards, top and bottom, so that fortune telling could start the moment the box opened. No study, no memorising, no waiting to feel ready. Every day feels a bit vague sometimes; this deck was made so that taking a small step out of that never requires more than one flip.
