Each card is framed like a stained-glass panel, drawn for this deck by a Japanese illustrator. The palette stays bright without flattening the symbols a reading depends on, and the Minor Arcana is illustrated scene by scene rather than left as plain pips.

It began with something customers kept telling us.
"I want to read tarot, but the pictures frighten me."
Traditional decks were built to be read, not to be looked at, and some of their images are unsettling on purpose. But a deck that stays in the drawer is a deck that never gets used. Wonderland turned out to be the right answer: a world that is already strange, already full of symbols, and already familiar to almost everyone. Death, the Tower, the Devil — all of them found a character to play them, and none of the meaning was lost in the casting.

Alice in Luna's Tarot is a Luna Factory original. We kept the Rider-Waite structure and its symbolism and redrew all 78 cards, so it works as a first deck and keeps working as a long-term one.
